Mid-West Road Trip 2016 :

Pine Bluffs – The town the Interstate left behind.
A boom town in the 1880’s, straddling the Nebraska/Wyoming state line, Pine Bluffs was the head of the Texas Trail and the largest cattle shipping point on the Union Pacific Railroad. A successful commercial and agri-economy thrived during early 20th century, but with construction of the transcontinental Interstate 80, our modern world by-passed this former capital of the cattle trail, leaving it rusting along the route of the old Lincoln Highway.
